I am looking to use vandel resistant switches to switch case fans on and off. However these are momentary switches, so I think I will need a dual coil latching relay. I want to be able to turn on a fan by pressing the momentary action button and switch it off again by pressing the same button. Can one of you guys confirm that this is possible using a relay and perhaps suggest a model from maplin.

    Thanks in advance!

You wont be able to do that with just one relay, your going to need something like a 'flip-flop' circuit to have the ON/OFF action.

Thanks from the replay acrimonious. I take it I would be able to use just a relay if I where to use a seperate momentary switch to turn off the relay?
