Case as a reservoir is an absolutely bonkers idea. It's both beautiful and functional. I'd love to see an entire case window like that intel logo.
Well done! Looks really nice! Really like the water roof I have a question about gluing/welding the plexiglas sheets together. I can see in some pictures there are some places you can see the glue? Or is this just the camera messing with the viewing? From what I can tell you usually apply the glue or what its called and then you roll the two sheets over two rollers. Did you use this metod?
Thank you so much. It is great reading this I tried to make the overkill not TOO much. The pumps are really tiny and it is a single 120mm 30mm thick radiator with a single fan. The cube in total is 20cm in all directions. But thank you again Thank you very much. I am happy how the logo turned out. The logo is cut out so the water is deeper there and therefore makes the coolant more dark compared to the rest of the reservoir. Who knows maybe one day a full ATX chassis with coolant running through all walls and integrated pump tops in the walls and reservoirs. The full monty Thank you very much Thank you Andreas. Yes I have seen that way to press the plates together. But in this chassis there are waterlines running through it. By pressing the sheets together like you say it will force all excess glue out of the panels and then also into the coolant channels. Which would make a mess. I basically pressed the panels together with clamps and then let the glue run between the panels with a syringe. The glue wouldn't run perfectly all the way through the panels and that creates the "flowers" you see. For me this was an idea and I had never done it before. I tried and I succeeded for like 75%. I am still happy with it, it looked amazing. The flowers could only be seen with a lot of light on it (like the sunlight in the pictures). But I think it could be done even better with 0 residue to be seen. I tried and I learned, ready for take 2 another time
It came out great. Air pockets: It's a little small for roller pressing. There's a risk the parts would re-position themselves. It'd be awesome to find an adjustable press for the job... To the internet!
Tim love this ! Such a stunning piece of modding that almost appears simple yet it's complexly stunning at the same time. Kudos to you and good luck with MOTM, I've voted for you.
It is NUC porn, with PUMPS! Very clever integrating the case into the loop! Original and well thought out!
Thank you so much Colin Thank you for the vote Thank you very much General I am happy to read you like the routing I created.
Having just commented on the w/c Odroid from Mayhems, I had to come back and look at this amazing mod again. I really am not into watercooling, but this is the most extraordinary NUC mod I've seen. Like Cheaps, I do likes me SFF projects. They don't come much smaller than that with decent computing grunt
