Great review, and an interesting little game. Will give it a go for sure, who doesn't love a bit of 8-bit gaming nostalgia with new age mechanics?

Totally worth it. It's charming and great fun with oodles of things to do, well worth buying it.

Stardew Valley was my favorite game of 2016. Clocked in 116 hours and never got bored. There's a constant progression to it even though you're doing mostly the same things. Your work starts paying off, you get a bigger house, new additions to the farm, get married, have a kid, participate in the events in town. You always feel like you're accomplishing something and it's very satisfying.
