One of the worst releases in PC gaming history IMHO.

 

Also a big fan of the first two, over 3k hours on 2 just with retribution and must be the same on one

 

I enjoyed that. Only took ~12 hours to do the campaign, but that's not what DoW is about!

 

well seems this has flopped pretty hard. thats a shame.

going to have to wait another 7 years for the next one maybe.

 

Meh. Going through a 'disenchanted with gaming' phase at the moment. Will pick this up when there's a sale.

 

Try player unknown battlegrounds. best thing iv played in a long time.

 

I feel that if they released a "DOW1" style all out war with full base building as a DLC, they'd get a lot more sales! I'm ok with the back to basics feel about cover mechanics etc. But I need that large scale battle feel! Not micro-play one person whilst the rest of the army does their thing..

 

Where did people get the idea that DOW3 was going to be a proper RTS with base building?

Its MOBA, and a bad one at that, with base building for flavour only.

Were Relic actively deceiving people during this game's development?

 

That is what they suggested when they first announced it.
