I can see your point there Supercool. If the keybaord doesn't work untill windows boots then what good is it. I did find this Logitech keyboard that is bluetooth but it isn't out yet :(

What if you used the remote power button with the wireless doorbell, then just modded the button for the doorbell to fit inside your keyboard... would that not work?

    here

when i unsoldered the ps2 ports from my motherboard to extend tem i noticed that 3 of the wires are unconnected to the etches a.k.a. not used, which would make a very easy soulution.

The only problem with that is that there arent any wires connected to the pins in the cable, only the ones the KB needs are there. So you would have to make your own cable and connector.

should be easy, just open your case, take off your power switch run it to the keyboard, drill a hole, place button, yay it works.

IIRC Microsoft has a bluetooth keyboard/mouse combo out already (have for quite a while). But, I could be wrong.

Can't you use a USB>PS2 adapter on the receiver? Make it be recognised before windows boots?

think twice before putting an off button on your keyboard

i *had* one but kept accidently pressing it while i was in the middle of doing something else. i got so sick of it, i ripped it out of my keyboard.

at least place it far away from any other keys so this doesn't happen as much.
