.....look away now. Right that's them gone , now if'n the rest of you could suggest some mid to decent in ear head phones for around £100 it'd be super
if you can push the budget a little higher and do a little faffing on massdrop then the Massdrop edition AKG 7XX reds are amazingly good for the price.
At teh mo it looks like a toss up between the SE215's or Sennheiser Momentum iE's unless something else pops up
Any experience with 'em? It looks like not a bad call and they seem to be touted as an alternative to the Sennheiser's. Whilst I would probably include them on a short list for myself these are being bought for a teenager, so name / image is going to play a part...
I use a pair of E10Cs as my every day headphones for the last 2 years and they are just brilliant. By brother has sworn by them for the last 5 years as well. I've got the E80's to go under my headset on the dealing desk at work because they have such good noise cancellation (and because work gave them to us). To be brutally honest, I don't see that much of a difference between the two, bar the slight extra bass and slightly better fit.. if I was spending the cash, I'd go for the E10C's and spend the rest in the pub.
Having tried the Momentums recently as well, they're no bad, but foam tips put me firmly in the SE215 camp. Comfort-wise, the Shure's are hard to beat, as far as I am concerned. That said, YMMV, obviously. Both not bad choices.
if you want something rather cheap, but sound surprisingly good, then I recommend the Tennmak Piano. I think I paid around £25 for them (I also bought the Tennmak Pro at the same time) and they are fantastic. I have ditched my far more expensive in ears for the Piano, they just sound perfect for the music I listen to on-the-go. The pro would probably be better for bassy, heavier tunes.
Yeah, I love my E10Cs. For the money, they are tremendous. To be honest, Mankz is spot on here: 1. Buy the Soundmagics 2. Keep the change 3. ??? 4. Profit
I must admit, I was going to get the E10Cs but saw a lot about Tennmak stuff too.... I will probably still grab the E10Cs when I destroy these
I haven't used them personally but have seen the Westone UM1 compared frequently to SE215s in reviews. Similar price (£99.99 @ advancedmp3players with possible extra 10% off using code STAY10P)
