been looking around for few days now for something small and light for the other half to store photo's of our little one. sometime that may last for a while.. i was hoping for something with a ssd.. last time i brought myself a laptop was quite a few years ago and it didn't last long.. I've seen and configured one from pc specialist (Lafité Series).. are they any good? or shall i just find an asus zen book of equivalent value/model?? looking to spend no more than £500.. i am pretty sure i won't need an i5. so it will be an i3 or the lower model. ( 4415U).
Bit-Tech reviewed the Lafité series and even before that I got one for my misses. It's nice, light, battery is good and spiffy enough. Though hers has an NVMe and the i7 with 8GB RAM, so more on the expensive side, but I doubt the performance difference will be that major.
i was going to make it 8gb of ram and a samsung 500gb ssd.. but she will be mainly surface the net, and adding photos and simply editing so it thought the pentium dual core would be good enough
Please do not store the pictures on just that machine if they're valuable... You can get a pretty good spec from the heathens at PCWorld for under 500.
