So I'm on this lanparty, and there's probably around here somewhere a guy with the same mouse as I have, a wireless MS one. And I think I'm picking up his signal 'cause my mouse moves by itself, sometimes, and clicks by itself. I've unplugged it to check if it was someone hacking my PC through a trojan or something, but when unplugged it didn't happen so it must be because he's on the same frequency or something. I tried pushing the "connect"-button on the receiver and then on the mouse, but it doesn't fixes the problem. Does anyone has a solution? Quick fix please!
Have a logitec cordless jobby and theres an option for a secure channlel, try that if u have that option....
Surely it can't be interferance(sp?), my Logitech Cordless MouseMan stops working when i move the mouse over about 12 inches from the reciever.
Weird. I have operated my MX700 over 10 feet away without signal loss. That is such a weird problem relix. I have 2 MX700's sitting about 5 feet apart with no interference.
I'm back from the LAN now, and I've had only minor problems. Sometimes it'd move by itself, but I think I found a channel which a mouse far far away was using as well. I also read on microsoft.com that they have only 2 channels This true? Anyway, remind me to bring a wired mouse next time
Or just get a decent mouse (i.e. a logitech, instead of this MS crap ) Got loads of logitech cordless stuff in this house, and they all run on secure connections, so there is no interference
Hmmm correct me if I'm wrong, but only the keyboard can run on "secure" connections. This isn't an option available for the mx700/900.
