I have windows 10 Pro and recently I have started to have issues with the keyboard & mouse. THe keyboard will start producing upper case with caps lock OFF anf lower case with caps lock ON. THe right shift key needs to be pressed hat for it to work properly.
The scrolling function on the mouse stops working. A reboot solves the issues. Any idea on how to resolve this?
I have tried a different keyboard & mouse

I've had weird issues similar to this but in my case it was confirmed with multiple computers after a while and turned out to be hardware at fault.

In the hope of ruling out hardware, all I can suggest is go into Device Manager and look for the drivers for the keyboard and mouse. Unless they are particularly specialised e.g. decent gaming hardware then there are unlikely to be any other than standard Windows drivers installed but it is worth uninstalling them.

You could then try removing them and re-inserting to see if the problem goes, scan for changes when the drivers should be re-installed or reboot and see what happens but as that fixes it anyway you won't notice the difference.

My experience with a completely different problem may though offer a way out at least if it isn't hardware related. I kept having frequent blue screen issues and even green screen of death and research suggested make sure the latest drivers are installed. As they were on this HP desktop, I remembered I had a license for a driver scanner from Uniblue and scanning for and installing new drivers for mouse and keyboard actually fixed it.

None of the driver update software I found works unless you pay for it but possibly worth a try to resolve this issue?

Thanks for your suggestions that it may be driver related and I'll try reinstalling the drivers.
