Im running an XP2000 @ 333FSB at the moment (so its runnin about XP2200 speed). Im tempted to get an XP2500 and run it at 400mhz fsb. Doing so will make my ram faster and hopefully I can get the proc to about XP2800 speed. I know my mobo & ram can reach these speeds and run stabily. I want to do this so that i can run more bots in Battlefield 1942. Im hoping with the faster ram and increased raw power it can do so. My question is, will it make much difference... ie... will it give me a good performance increase in games?
I know the 2500 can do that easily. Although I am running on an nForce2 400 board I have easily gotten my 2500 to run at 3200 speeds 2200MHz. I am tempted to get an SLK-800 or possibly 900 and put active cooling on my NB and try to crank it up even higher. Good luck to you.
