    Hi Guys,

I have recently installed a PF SENSE router at home as I would like to learn a little more about them. I have setup some VLANS on the router with different DHCP pools for each VLAN.

    Current Config:

LAN: 192.168.1.254 /24 UNTAGGED on smart switches
    VLAN1: 192.168.2.254 /24 Tagged on smart switches
    VLAN2: 172.27.1.254 /24 Tagged on smart switches

I'm picking up DHCP absolutely fine, and the DHCP pools have DNS set on them however I'm unable to browse the internet.

The one thing I did pick up on I couldn't ping the gateway on VLAN1 or VLAN2, perhaps there is an option I need to enable somewhere?

    Help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Sam

    Sorted it!

Turns out you need to enable traffic on the firewall for that interface as by default it block everything.

    Ta anyway.

    I'd suggest you use VLAN2, and VLAN3, not VLAN1 and VLAN2.

Without going into the technical guts of it effectively untagged == VLAN1 so your outside and VLAN1 networks are shared and not separated.
