    Hi

I bought a new computer with winxp home pre-installed on it. I'm wondering, should I install winxp pro on it instead? Is it worth the trouble? What's the difference between the two?

    Thanks.

I recommend Pro, it's just a whole lot better in all respects. Especially gaming and networking.

I'm sure lots of people here know more about the differences.

I've searched the www, and it seems that the difference is that the pro version has more networking/file sharing/permission facilities than home. How does that make it better for gaming?

I found that home booted up faster. Probably dependant upon configuration.
