    Hi,
Havent posted in a loooong time and recently built a new pc to get back into gaming. I installed windows no problem but whenever i install gpu drivers i get a black screen.

    Heres my setup:

    Msi mortar titanium b450m mobo
    Ryzen 5 2600
    2x8gb corsair lpx 3000mhz ram
    1x samsung 860 ssd / 1x samsung hybrid drive
Gtx 1070ti - gigabyte windforce 8gb (single 8 pin version)
Psu: bequiet! pure power 10 600w power supply.

I have tried reseating the card, switching 12v rails and clearing cmos and rebooting to no avail.
I also tried 2 older videocards (gts 250 and gtx460) and they boot fine without issue.

Am i right in thinking its an issue with the 1070 not getting enough amps? If so what would you recommend I do to further eliminate any other issues?

    Thanks in advance :)

If you get a black screen after installing GPU drivers, is it immediately after install or after a reboot?

Either way, sounds like a failed card to me.

It is just when the drivers are installed. It will run all day in safe mode though. Im going to try bios and chipset updates tomorrow.

It's likely a bad GPU in that case. Classic sign of it.

Updated everything including bios and problems persist. Looks like I will be sending it back for replacement.

    Thanks guys.
