Yes I missed the mining craze plodding away with some folding. Folding and Climate Prediction were always just ways I could justify expensive computer hardware and building fast PC's with feeling good about what I was doing. I was running Climate modelling on the CPU and folding on the GPU's. I have noticed recently that the more CPU cores I allow to be free the better the folding totals. Usually people say to leave one core per folding slot but I'm not sure that this is really enough to maximise folding performance. What have other people found?
