Modding painted intellimouse 3.0 ?

has anyone here painted an intellimouse 3.0 ???

i want to paint mine....either with paint or vinyl dye...anyone have any ideas?

 

use vinyl die.. its better for plastic pieces and looks better

 

Krylon Fusion is also out now, and is said to be formulated to bond with plastics. It probly isn't as deep bonding as Vinyl dye, but since it's readily available in around 14 colors, i think it's worth looking into. last i saw it's like $8-9 a spray can in USD.

 

Ouch you can get Fusion for much less. I just bought some today for $3.95 at a local Tru-Value hardware store.

 

has anyone here taken the 3.0 apart?

i'm guessing i have to take the pads off and there will be screws under them....i want to know how i should go about taking it apart...and if the pads will go back on??

 

I havent done it personally, but know someone who has. Looks dam sweet.

Okay you may think im weird but i take things apart to see how they work and all you have to do is get a flat piece of something and take off the pads, and yes they will go back on. then remove the screws and its really easy from there. The top housing lifts off and there you have it, the insides of the microsoft intellimoust 3.0's guts.
