I'm looking to expand my onboard storage and have a spare M.2 slot, which is SATA and NVME IIRC.

I am booting from a 500GB Samsung Polaris NVMe drive, so don't need the fastest NVME drive, looking to spend £100 or so.

I'm sure someone on here said to avoid the WD Blue, but I have no idea otherwise, what's good these days.

    Thanks as ever

Crucial P1, Intel 660p... iirc at that price bracket it doesn't really matter they're pretty much the same perf wise.

Corsair MP510, has a far longer rated life than any of the others for the same or better speeds and for one of the lowest prices!

Have to agree, 5 year warranty is nothing to be sniffed at.

I have the 480Gb version, i'd have no qualms in buying another MP510 if I was in the market for one.

Its half the reason I went for it, plus top speeds for around £120 for 960GB is a steal!

Just for reference I just checked the endurannce ratinngs, the Crucial P1 and Intel 660P are 200TBW, while the Corsair MP510 is 1700TBW...(!!!!) If that doesnn't sell it to you I don't know what will!

Perfect, thanks gents; a good set of recommendations backed up with personal experience.

Intel 'cheapskate' option {sorry Cheaps!} @ £90 and a more durable option in the MP510 @ £120; both available from Scan with free next day delivery courtesy of my Bit-Tech account - what's not to like??

Job done, just need round up some pennies in the post Christmas slump!

IIIRC, it was you who pointed me in the direction of looking at those stats when I was looking at the Corsair and Adata some time ago. Those endurance ratings and warranty sold it to me in the end so cheers again :)

No problem! Its bonkers, but really shines a light on some of the tech flaws! £30 for 8.5 times the write endurance is bonkers!

I got a couple of 960 GB Corsair 510s for £105 each on Black Friday. They have been great so far. Also used my free scan delivery on that one. Must have saved me at least £100 or more over the years.

I've got the 1tb Intel. Fantastic drive.

My U.2 is twice as fast in tests but you'd never know it.
