    - 128 MB 325MHz (650MHz DDR) Video Memory
    - 500MHz Engine Clock
    - 400MHz RAMDAC
    - AGP8X/4X Bus Standard
    - 128-bit DDR Memory Interface
    - 2048x1536 Max Resolution

Leadtek WinFast A350TDH LX GeForce FX 5900 128MB DDR
    Specs:
    - AGP 8X
    - 400MHz RAMDACs
    - 256-bit Graphics Core
    - 400 MHz Engine Clock
    - 256-bit Memory Interface
    - 2.8 ns Memory Speed
    - TV-Out
    - DVI Input

Asus ATI Radeon 9600XT/TVD 128MB (cheapest)
    Specs:
    - 128 MB DDR Video Memory
    - 500MHz Engine Clock
    - 300MHz(600MHz DDR) Memory Clock
    - 400MHz RAMDAC
    - AGP8X/4X/2X Bus Standard
    - 128-bit DDR Memory Interface
    - 2048x1536 Max Resolution

Thanks guys, and if you've got any personal suggestions i'm looking at spending no more then £170.
Oh and post a link if you can!

personally i would wait till hl2 comes out and gets reviewed before you go upgrading you rig. There should be testing and you would be able to find out which card ran best on hl2. Also im sure the prices would be a bit lower then ;)

from what ive read the 9600xt is a great card, beats a lot of the nvidia models on all levels, but we don't know since hl2 isn't well at least not the actual game :p

In the tests I have seen The ATI 9600 XT is faster.

In normal fillrate and texturing it is between 4% - 37% faster the the FX 5700 Ultra.

In Pixel Shading it looks to be 30% - 70% faster then the FX 5700 Ultra.

    Check out this thread.

The Sapphire ATI Radeon 9600XT 128MB DDR TV-Out/DVI & Half Life 2 Bundle can be picked up now at www.overclockers.co.uk for around £126 pounds.

Sapphire are a good brand, they often use better video ram chips than other brands.
