Case Mod - Complete THE NEXT OF "QIN", Completed after 11 Months

thats just priming, i now have at least 6 different layers, os sand, silver, gold, black, reds, brown and copper to get the bronzy golden reddish look.
i used regular paint, heat and staining to achive the rust, no special effect paints at all. all self thought up.

I've seen some of your previous works floating around the interwebs, but only now found this one. Very impressive! I wish I had that much patience

 

hi datalub, thx daatalub. the more color that comes into the equation, the less patience i have. am working and try ing to get this finished at the same time. now with the paintjob 90% done, i wanna see how it all harmonises with eachother. a lot of wiring etc.. yet to go too.

 

some more, must wait now till the paint has cured.

 

they are not all stiuck together. each part needs wiring seperately for leds speakers lc etc.. then they will be wedlocked

thx. funny thing is the sand in the paint picks up the light in the camera much more than i can see in real life. looks better on the pics.

hi guys. sorry i was so busy at work for some months that i couldnt post anything. anyway.
I have painted the Terracotta army soldiers I made to stick on

 

i have started assembling the NEXT OF QIN and wiring it all up too. each part is being wired seperately and then mounted accordingly.
am sticking to red leds, while still having a sound module that will make them flicker to the sound coming from its speakers.

I was so busy getting it finished in a real hurry so i couldnt post. all of a sudden the DCMM announced it is happening so that sort of put me ina modding frenzy. allwent well though and lo n behold.
I just got back from cologne. my NEXT OF QIN and BATTLE BOX have both won the casemod and casecon categories.

 

sorry its mostly in german :-(

 

Incredible work, all my appreciation. I'm sorry I couldn't see it in person in Cologne, but maybe in the fall in Budapest.
