    How would one make MDF "unscuffable"?

    Other than dropping a comically oversized mousemat on it to cover most of the surface I reckon you're up excrement creek without any means of propulsion in that regard.

    Well one of the options you can buy is a "full coverage desk mat" that covers the whole desk surface...
