Try flushing your cache or something. The pics work fine for me - I just installed a fresh clean version of XP. They are there :D In any case you should be able to dl them if they don't appear - I think

Looks like a good project... All this machinery makes it look big.

How do they measure things like cases internationally? I can measure the bezel of my Chenbro case and it measures out to inches on the space between drives and such, and it measures exactly 25 inches tall.

I still dont like macs. If you want the stability, use linux, and if you want the good looks, get a mac case and put a PC in it. Cheaper too :) .

I didn't know spanish cows could speak english at all :) :p :).

Hey, at least you dont speak "american".

    Oh, yeah, I'm american :(.

Not over here they're not :grr: You pay a good € 200 - € 300 for a used G3 case. Can't find a G4 or G5 case anywhere and all those stupid mac shops don't sell em seperatly. Apple is such a stupid company ! They'd make far more money if they'd make their cases PC-Compliant and sell em as is ... but nooooooo ... You have to do it yourself. I actually got payed VERY good money while makeing the case, cause I made it during my semester holidays while working for the Bayer A.G. ...

    Cheers

I'd say in millimeters. As the DIN ISO is THE standard international norm. I suppose cases are designed in CAD anyways so it doesn't really matter, you just switch to what you like. The dimensions stay the same, the numbers change - so what ?

BTW, if anybody questions the relyability of macs, I've got something that'll throw most of you for a loop.

My sister gave me an old apple machine a while ago, four years ago maybe, the thing is from the mid 80's. It has never had it's os reinstalled, no professional work done to it, and it still worked like new (even had been left on for litteraly months at a time, without a single error, period). Yeah, the case was beat to ****, but it worked like it was new. Never had heat issues, even though it had an integrated monitor. And belive it or not, it only had a 30mb hdd and was something in the order of 22mhz. So if you are going to bash mac's, then do some history, because they have a LOT better relyability streak than most other operating systems. Added to that, apple was the first to start making cases that wern't anything near "baige boxes", like everybody else was doing. Think about it.

Sounds like a Power Mac, we have allot of those still hanging around and yeah they are pretty good at longevity, hell when hard drive is dead you can sometimes just tap them and they will continue to work for a good amount of time. The only thing that regularly fails on them is the batteries on the motherboard and the CPU fans (they start getting really noisy).

Also more on topic I hope we can see some more pics pretty soon.

please tell me you're not serious. the thing that ticks me off the most is that people who "hate" macs have never used one for more than an hour, which isn't really enough time to form a solid opinion :grr:

Not to derail this thread any further, but I have used a MAC for extended periods of time (about 2 hours at a time, multiple times) and I have to say that for an abosulte idiot that just wants to check their email, it might do it for them.

It can do other stuff, but the "normal" PCs have so much more processing power for the buck that it isn't even funny anymore.

Nice looking idea m8, I sure hope to see more on it ;)

yo-duh, i'm not saying apple's are l337 and wind0wz is the suxx0r ( ), i'm just saying that most people have never really used one, yet they says apples suck just because that's what they've heard

just had to finish that off
    </off topic>

so when will we get to see some more updates?

Just to enter the off topic flame war: the new mac os is derived from BSD and I heard it's pretty rock stable.Haven't got to use it though. Mac's aren't versartile enough for my tastes. And again who knows? Apparently one of the (if not the) most powerfull machines of the moment is a mac cluster. Cool.

And continuing the flamewar, the only thing I dislike about the Macs is their price, I can't afford one. I don't play any FPS or such (it's a waste of time according to me :), so the versatility problem ends there for me. MacOS X is, as said before, derived from BSD and as a result of that the OS core is rock solid. The Aqua-application (the graphical mumbojumbothingamajing that's run on top of the core/kernel) is not as stable as a regular X-server with, say, xfwm of xfce4 or so, but it looks pretty fantastic. Try to render all that alpha blending on an ordinary desktop pc, and you'll realize that Macs aren't that slow. And of course, they're good looking enough to mod just for the plain fun of it, not because it's so ugly it'll make your brain rot.

anyways, what I posted to say; looks great, keep up the good work and keep those pictures coming *seriously addicted* :hip:
