    Blackadder all the way!!!

I think Red Dwarf only appeals to a small select audience and I think it was losing it a bit towards the end.

    Vote here!

Blackadder has my vote... but what about the best british comedy group of all time, Monty Python!?!?! The choices are definately not complete.

Oh yeah, and it is spelled fawlty towers, not faulty.

"The Good Life" FFS?.. allow me to quote Vivian from one Sitcom depressingly not lofted into the top 10:

NO!! No! We're not watching the bloody Good Life!! !! I hate it!! It's so bloody nice! Felicity 'Treacle' Kendall and Richard 'Sugar-Flavored-Snot' Briars!! What do they do now?! Chocolate bloody Button ads, that's what!! They're just a couple of reactionary stereotypes, confirming the myth that everyone in Britain is a lovable, middle-class eccentric - and I - HATE - THEM!!

However, Blackadder does rank over them all so highly anyway that it's a one horse race.

They're all pretty damn funny but Only Fools and Horses got my vote because that show always has me in stitches.

I was dissappointed about some of the others not making it into the top ten though, oh well :sigh:

Changed the thread title as it was "Best British Comedy"... which wasn't really true :p

I refuse to vote for any of them as Spaced clearly should have been higher than 66. I guess this is what happens when only housewives and retired people do the main voting...

Citizen Smith at 57?! What's wrong with these people? They wouldn't know a good sitcom if it jumped up and bit them on the arse :grr:

It's 12/1 odds on Blackadder. It's my vote and I'm putting money on it :)

Spaced should have been way higher though.

Only Brit sitcom/comedy that I know of is Monty Python and that one from the 70's based in a department store (can't remember the name) which I used to watch on PBS.

BBC America are better than BBC UK for comedy, I get my Region 1 box sets from their distributions instead of waiting for the drip-fed series with no extras we get here.

YES!!! That's it! Funny stuff! They don't show it anymore, well, I haven't seen it. Man that gay dude was funny!

I get BBC America off the satellite and do watch it once in a while. That's actually how I got hooked on the American versions of Changing Rooms (Trading Spaces) and Scrapheap Challange (Junkyard Wars).
