Should have killed him 4 years ago and spent the tax that we payed to keep the bugger alive on far more useful things.

Guess he's right up there with the most famous serial killer, Jack the Ripper.

His crimes are considerably worse. We're not talking some guy that murdered a few prostitutes back in Victorian times. Dr Shipman systematically murdered dozens, probably hundreds, of his female patients by deliberately giving them medication that would kill them. And he stood in front of the TV cameras with a completely straight face and denied it, even after being found guilty for the handful that he was actually convicted for. A twisted man indeed.

It costs more money to execute someone than it does to keep them alive in prison for the rest of their natural life. In the states anyways, where capital punishment is still quite popular. Does the UK have the death penalty?

http://www.deathpenaltyinfo.org has a lot of nice info. Specifically here.

Jack the Ripper disemboweled his victims though, not much worse of a murder than that, :eeek:

True, but by today's sick standards he isn't that bad. Rather unfortunate, but true.

Couldn't of happened to a nicer bloke ,he didn't even deserve to be breathing, tho I think giving him to the mercy of the families of his victims would have been much more economical and just
