My video card is possibly going (see my thread in General Hardware>My computer is..........) :sigh:, so I need to know what to get now. I currently have a crappy MX420, but I am looking for a bit of an upgrade. Price range $100-$200.

I'm in the market for a new card also, but I can wait a little while if need be. I was wondering if anyone has heard whats the next high end card comming out and how it would compare to the current ones. Are we in a stale vid card market waiting for the rest of the computer components to catch up or is the next big thing around the corner?

Well the 9800 might be a good bet. Sometimes it can be switched to a 9800pro with just a drivers change. That is if you are lucky....
