Electronics Creating custom USB ports like on Zap's Ammo PC - HOW?

Title says it all. What do I need? How do I do it? I have a soldering gun right in front of me, and my uncle solders like a pro. Help please.

 

some good sheilded 4 pin connectors... i reccomend screw in ones.

 

Check out XLR connectors.

 

XLR microphone connections are 3-pin. They do have good voltages, however, making them great for power.

 

Anyone want to make a decent guide to making USB and VGA cables?

 

XLR connectors come in 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 pin forms in my catalogue, plus nickel plate, black and various colours.

Would any XLR connectors work for a VGA monitor? And how should I go about making the cable for my keyboard to hook up to that?

 

OK, if anyone would be so kind as to tell me which of those XLR connections I need for USB (which male and which female) plus the same for VGA, I would owe them bad.

1) And for the keyboard you'll just need to take off the old connectors. Make sure to mark the position of the wires.
2) Resolder the connectors to the XLR connector making sure to match up the wires correctly.
