It ain't just that that's the problem. There's also the fact that the vast majority of fans out there (every single one I've worked with!) won't run in reverse (i.e. with the voltage reversed). It screws with the system they use instead of motor brushes, and there are diodes inside to prevent you from reversing the fan voltage.
    Sorry!

I am going to agree with him on that one. The ones we work with at my computer shop won't work that way either.

    Good News For ALL!!!

Well I am happy to report that I have finished the article and it is being proof read as we speak. Because I have done this mod for the third time I am not sure if I have left any thing out. So hopefully the good people here at Bit-tech will give me some feedback to make some final corrections. So you should be seeing the article out very soon.

i dont know....i think i would rather spend the 80-90 dollers canadian to get the pc mods fans.........ya right....only a nut would do that after seeing how easy they are to make.....excilent job...

eyeing my mini-disk optical cable......i think it could sacrafice a few inches in the name of modding......

Awesome! And it is so easy!! Almost makes you cringe at paying $50 (US) for such an easy product!

    Keep up the good mods!
