    I have a mobo with a stuffed bios (flashed with wrong version :duh: not by me though :D ) and need to get a replacement.

    Anyone know where in the UK I can get a bios chip for an ABIT NF7S v1.2 ??

    Any help much appreciated

    Darkside.

    Thanks for the speedy reply, but I actually need a replacement chip as the machine won't boot now the bios has been duffed. I've edited the first post to say bios chip now, but thanks again anyway.

    Ahh.. totally different. I'm afraid you may be in serious trouble there... unless someone can think of something I can't.

    Can't you use a BIOS chip from another mobo of the exact same version? Maybe hunt ebay for a dead NF7 on the cheap, or email Abit and see if they will send you a replacement chip?

    Abit UK will send you a new bios chip or reflash a current one, gimme 2 secs and i'll try and dig out the details :D

    <edit> here you go :D
    Send chip to
    Abit Computer Corp Ltd.
    Tech Dept,
    Unit 3,
    24-26 Boulton Road,
    Stevenage
    Herts
    SG1 4QX

    Make sure you tell them what mobo you have. costs 17.63 or return the chip with 11.75 for a re-program.
    </edit>
