    i found a site that lets you buy the kit to electroless plate your drives using nickel... so it will match your case...

    thought i should share the knoledge...

    i was told not 2 days ago that nikels carcenogenic though.. or maybe if its if u just injest it :eyebrow: :confused:

    i dunno if that will work on plastic items. once you get it hot enuff to work, prolly gonna melt or warp ya drive plates, and the stuff might/might not stick.

    It states that it can be used on plastic at the website... No idea how well though. I guess riyaz will find out for us :p

    depends on the plastic... some would die others would be A OK :p

    from their site :

    Plates - All Steels, Irons, Copper, Brass, Bronze, Titanium,

    no mention of plastic i could find. besides it doesnt make sense. metal just doesnt want to bond to plastic, plus when you bring it to a boil i dont think that will be very good for the palstic either.
