if u look at the second pic, the heatsink is still intact. lol nice hack up i have an old 17" Dell (pff) monitor that is bust, i have some stairs, and an old video camera (not sure if it can hook up to pc without much trouble) . so....how much u gonna pay me lol
Never have I seen a thread more suited to my hobby. My friend Kurt and I made a documentary called Monitor Bashing. Two years ago, we filmed MB2. I have it in MPEG format and if everyone really wants to see it, I need about 315mb of hosting. This summer we'll be making Monitor Bashing 3:Resurrection. We have a LOT of old monitors and I'll remember this request for when we film it. Then if someone wants to host that, I can upload it.
hmmm... 315mb... I can give a max of about 80k/s, but I can hold about 10 gigs of data. email me at mikeon84@(nospam)hotmail.com take out the (nospam) bit. And I'll set up an ftp account for ya, and tell you what the link will be and such. Hopefully it won't be access too much. If anyone wants to share it, as in have multiple links to the file, that would be great.
hmmm.. I don't really like bit-torrent... A friend almost got expelled from a uni using that. I think it was bittorrent anyways. but yeah. maybe. will be looking for email EDIT: oh, what will the subject be? I have spam filter to the highest.
The subject will be "increase your penis size at the amateur webcam girls casino with discount meds from canada." Just kidding. It'll be pretty obvious. Also, if someone can give me some tips for shrinking the file size (it's a 15 minute video, I didn't encode it but I have software to edit it) it would be greatly appreciated by me and probably Pygo in addition to everyone downloading it.
emailed you back... sorry folks.. won't have it done too soon.. the link between the internet and my webserver is down for some reason.. will find out why. Seems as though someone knocked out the power to the wireless modem/routers/hub. EDIT: :yay: got it working.. parents had dog water near surge bar for a bunch of routers... Lets just say I owned them... and if anything happens again, I pour dog water all over their laptops Will have the account setup for you shortly man. Then you all have to wait for the thing to get uploaded.. and then wait like a wait in line for the file or somethin
Here you go, sorry that its not a monitor, nor stairs, but still funny. And sad.. i almsot cried..poor guy, hes broke, he wins a tv, and he smashes it, how sad http://media.ebaumsworld.com/pantsfall.mpg
yes you can.. I think, unless you are talking about something else... you just have to right click on the link and choose save target as.
What kind of mobo was it? Im guessin it was old coz of no hook on the agp I think they started using hooks at agp4x
My P4 1.5GHz gigabyte mobo takes PC800 RDRAM and has no hook. it has an AGP pro slot. soo... not that old. It looks to only have one power connector, and is most likely an AMD mobo. w/ no dual channel mem in it.
just noticed they took out the bios chip first your right Pygobombe, its definitly an amd, looks like an AOpen heatsink on the north bridge...im probibly talkin crap
hehe you guys'll love this. A friend of mine didn't manage to beat his score in 3DMark2001SE. http://www.m0nty.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/photogallery/Crashing windows (lowres).WMV
Wow... that is just really sad. He reminds me of the guy from Anger Management... /me thinks he needs help.
315 is absolutly huge for jsut 15 minutes of video. I've been ripping my VHS collection. Full feature at fantastic quality was around 580. Thats for 90+ minutes. 15 mintues should be able to be cut down to 30-60mbs. I encode live feeds from the anolog out on a digital camera at 640x480 and I only run about 1 mb a minute. (I use it as a security camera). The quality is pretty good. I factored in an extra mb for sound and better quality. It should be very easy to do. You say you can edit your video so I'm willing to bet you'll have a good idea about what I'm about to talk about. The is a great program called VideoMach. It's free for non-commercial use. You'll have too google for it -I don't have any links handy. About now you are going to want to figure out what codec you are going to use. I am going to recomend Divx5 for simplicity. You can use whatever you want I suppose. Anyway, after you have the codec and VideoMach going, just open the source file. Under the the "File" menu, select "Define output." A window should pop up in the "Files" tab. Select video and Audio (assuming there is audio) and specify the format in the box (select AVI, Windows Audio Video Intereaved). After that, go to the video tab. I'm hoping most of this is self explanitory. While you're in the Video tab, make sure to set up the codec in "Format Options." More on that below. You may want to change the resolution depending on what it already is. You're probably not going to want anything larger than 640x480. The audio tab is pretty simple, just define whatever according to what you see fit. After all that is done, make sure you specififed a location for the output file and then start processing. You can do that via the "File" menu or the play button sort of in the middle of the screen. Format options: This is all dependant on the codec you decide to use. For Divx5, all you are probably going to want to adjust is the bit rate. For this kinda thing, somewhere around 500 should be ok. You may need to play around with it a bit to get the quality and the file size balanced out. If size is still an issue after the quality is as low as you want to take it, try dropping the sound quailty. Going from 128 to 64 kbps should shave off just that many more MB. If you have any futher questions or maybe you want me to talk to real time, my email is lockmanx@leetmods.com and my AIM (AOL instant messanger) screen name is LokiXtraTOAO. I hope that was helpful.
