    update again!

    Thanx xeno!

    Here are some more updates...
I did some more filling with the glasfiber filler, and it sands down descent enough, I will use something like bondo to make it smoother.
I also filled in the three top "airwents" in the front, to make more space for other things (fanbus, buttons etc...)

    Anyhow pictures for you:
This is how the front looks like now...

And a closeup, so you can se how the glasfiber filler looks, its rough, but as i said, will use something finer, more tomorrow i guess :thumb:

    Update, paint job

    Little update...
I started to paint my top lid on monday, been a bit lazy but managed to grab my camera and get som pictures.
I painted the top with a High Gloss black paint, used 3 coats of primer first (sanded the top with 180 and 300 gritt first, and used 600 between the coats), and then I aplied 5 coats of black (sanding with 600).
Now I need some 1200 and maybe 2000 grit paper to make the finish real nice, gonna grab some rubbing compund from my father in law (who works for 3m :D )

    anyhow here are the pictures:

Sanding with 600 grit paper and soap water...

Test fitting the top between the painting (after 2 days of curing)

And the finish.... still gonna give it one more coat and sand with 1200, maybee even another coat and 2000 if I'm not happy with the 1200 finish

man i wish i had a case like that there'd be some space to fit my 3 full size scsi hdds :)) (you don't want to see my server with those hdds cramped in it :D ) nyway starting to look good but i would've done a bit more with that lcd cut out maybe it's just the pic but for me the angle of the slopeing of the bondo doesn't seem even. nyway keep it up :thumb:

Btw; are you norwegian? Balder is a norwegian name (from Norse mythology).

Not only norwegian... I think its about the whole Scandinavia!!! Balder was a god in an old religion the vikings had (worship of the Aesir I think its called)... He was the god of the light.
(Of what I heard) Balder was the most beautiful god, and he was almost immortal. He could only die if he was shot with a special sort of arrow, an arrow made of mistletoe, that Loke (the god of the evil) deceived Balders blind brother Höder to shoot...

The history lesson is over for today :thumb:

No complaining about the grammar, i'm tired...

Don't forget to polish it when you're done with the varnish!
Seen the project at ok.no too, but it seems like you're updating more frequently here. Or maybe im just blind ;)

Anyway, just don't forget to polish, looks like you have a real good chance for a sweet finish :thumb:

Then I might be that I'm becoming blind.. :worried:
Naw, think it drowned in the middle of all the other logs. Been a serious lift in the worklog category lately.
Can't wait to see the finish!
    Keep on moddin' :dremel:

Ok, I have the whole weekend in front of me, hope to do somethind then.
    Here are some plans:

    - Work on the front, the lcd area and the floppy area
    - Work on the window and the sidepanels
    - Try to give the top it's last coats of painting
    - The inside paint job and mobo mounting

Have one ide about the inside:

I'm gonna make alle the tubes and cables run through the other side of the case.
The w/c stuff will only be visible over the cpu and under the gpu..
It will be painted matt black inside

    what do you think?
