I've read all the Dan Brown books except Deception Point and they are all pretty good even tho there are too many parallels between some stories. Give it a go. I don't think you'll regret it.

iI've been into reading political (ok, anti-bush) books lately; i just finished Lies and the Lying Liers Who Tell Them by Al Franken, and Dude, Wheres My Country by Michael Moore, and i'm about to start Rush Limbaugh Is a Big Fat Idiot by Al Franken and the Bush Dyslexicon by Mark Miller. btw, has anyone here read the Rule of Four by Ian Caldwell? How is it?
Indeed, I found it excellent, but I think I preferred the book on Berlin, despite it getting less critical acclaim than Stalingrad did...definitely read Berlin if you liked Stalingrad

They haven't arrived yet though. Also, except for the first two, they are all re-reads, and I lost count how many times I've read each of them.
Imperialism and Culturalism - Edward Said Straw Dogs - John Gray Hegemony or Survival - Noam Chomsky The Fountainhead - Ayn Rand Simulacra & Simulation - Jean Baudrillard Not in that order, they've all been read in the last 2-3 weeks though. AH
I've just finished reading Ice Station by Matthew Reilly. Not for those that like deep, psychological, taxing, books. But if you like some fast paced, action packed, guns-a-blazing, thriller (and at times, a little far-fetched-ness) then check it out. A most enjoyable ready. Yesterday I just started Empire State by Henry Porter as well, although I might hold out on that because I've just seen on Reilly's web site that his 'Area 7'book actually follows on with the survivors from Ice Station. Sweet!
currently reading:- the templar revelation - cant remember author - talks about a lot of the stuff mentioned in dan browns da vinci code. deception point - dan brown (read all 650 odd pages in a single sitting whilst hungover on sunday) digital fortress - dan brown (again read in single sitting on day off last friday) knees up mother earth - robert rankin (latest book by my fave author. 7th book in brentford trilogy ) wee free men - Terry Pratchett i've read another 6 or 7 books in the past two months as well, mainly re-reading robert rankin stuff but also a couple of tom holt books which personally i found quite a chore to read as i didnt enjoy his style of writing.
If you like that you'll love Scarecrow - its even faster paced than Icestation and Area7. Did you know that his lastest book was released for free on .pdf via email. Ive emailed Matt Reilly and he actually replied as well. Last 5 books 1. In the company of Heroes - Mike Durrant 2. Teeth of the Tiger - Tom Clancy - dont bother - not up to the usual standard 3. The Bear and the Dragon - Tom Clancy 4. Valhalla Rising - Clive Cussler 5. Night Watch - Terry Pratchett
