Hey bit-tech forums just starting my first new case here is just a white chasis and getting ready for a paintjob on the rest of the case. [/IMG] Heres a pic of the power supply in white [/IMG] and mouse on primer and just a teaser shot the bottom piece of the chieftec [/IMG] Ill update soon...
welcome to the forum. just some tips: use only one set of {IMG} signs. and in the first post, tell us what you want to do in the project. what colors you will be useing and maybe even some scetches of how it might turn out, just to give us and yourself an idea. Good luck with your project, mate EDIT: hehe you edited when i was writing this.. great finish on that top panel! looking forward to see the rest!
thanks Im going with a white and orange look to the case nothing difficult just a lot of painting, had no real sketch to it but to figure what color I wanted and found it so thats really it thanks for the support.
holy guacamole, that redish bottom piece is brutaly awesome! this case is gonna be so sweet when it's done. can't wait to see it then what kinda paint did you use and what color is it exactly? and you should change the project name to "cherry cream" or something because of the colors used. i'm sure you can figure something out !
Thanks the color is like a mix of copper with orange and yellow flakes and its automobile paint. Should be done with it soon thanks for the support. Yes the paintjob was done by me.
and just a teaser shot the bottom piece of the chieftec Is that like a face or something ? Face in paint
I think it's one of the best paint jobs. Ever. The face in the paint looks kind of funny, didn't see it before. However, the paintjob is so incredibly smooth. It's just too close to perfection. Will the entire case be red?
LOL its not a face if you check under the chieftec dragon case you will see it to. Yes the whole case will be that same color.
hehe.. the first i saw was "robin" from the batman movies With the mask and all ! Ontopic: great paint job! did you wetsand between the coats ?
I sanded down to metal I had those pictures but for some reason my camera did not take them so once they were at metal I used alcohol to take out all the material than primed, wet sanded, primed again I went to deep for some reason so had to reprime then put the color, wet sanded , color again then added the yellow flakes, cant see the flakes Im going to get a pic of it and after the paint settled I clear coated it then buffered it after a day of the paint to fully set.
I have a coolermaster case and its all alluminum. Do i still need to sand prime and sand? When i touch the case it feels very smooth already since its alluminum.
From what I know you sand it till you dont have a shiny look to it plus it also depends what paint your going to use on it.
Alright another update heres the front panel of the chieftec with same color and has yellow flakes on it so hope you enjoy it and hope to get the case done soon. Heres a flash of the pic just a regular pic hope you can see the yellow flakes makes the paintjob color more wierd. Will update soon guys thanks.
