fdisk the disk and also do a fdisk /mbr (to clkean the master boot record) and then format it and the virus will be gone. Obviously all the data on the hard disk will be lost if you do this.
http://support.wdc.com/download/dlg/dlgdiag28.zip thats the link but u might aswell Fdisk it gd luck m8
Thats because the first thing n00bs do is go to warez sites and start downloading crap and they dont know what it is.
Well i dont go to crappy warez sites. I dont no if i have got rid ov it cos on microsoft site it sez pc is cleen from it but i must have another if that 1 is gone because i still cant get to task manager msconfig n regedit??
Download norton or something and make bootable recovery disks so you can scan from dos before you install windows.
I solved my problem i think? i reebooted got mcafee security centre and firewall, installed that before i connected to the net. Then installed sp2 and updated and hav had no problems so far. God dam AVG is poo lol
Remember Monkey.b; it lived through fdisk's. Huge pain in the a**. If it reappears, try looking for older boot sector viri.
uhhh you should read http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.sasser.worm.html Its usually not entirely the user's faults its downloaded (often done at complete random), it's an exploit of Windows XP.
