Networks Can I Replace this DSL Modem with a Server PC?

I have this DSL modem and I would like to replace it using just my server.
This might be a very silly question, but I don't really have any idea.

Firstly you'll need a DSL modem for the Server itself, as it wont be able to just plug directly into the phone line (unless you buy a PCI/USB ADSL modem).
You could always use the Router you've shown as a Modem and turn off its firewall capabilities (Half bridge mode to do this if i remember correctly?) and then use the server as the firewall by placing it between your network and the modem.

the routers for home use dont really have much power in them.
either spend some big loto on a nice cisco one or use your server and the modem
