hi... is there a minimum mcd for a blue LED for in my logitech optical mini mouse? And How can i make a new LED conecting in my mouse... where can i make the LED... tnkx neo
I don't know the minimum, but depending on your color, you want to go as bright as you can http://casemodgod.com/mouse_mods.htm http://www.casemodgod.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2907
I wouldn't suggest anything lower then 2-3k. As far as making the connection dependent on the mouse, The easiest thing to do is snip the legs of the old LEd and it it in there
When I did my LED change (infrared in my case), I soldered directly to the +5v and G sources from the USB connection. Although unlike most bl00 LEDs, my IR draws ~100mA instead of ~20. Careful though, it's really small to work with, at least in my mouse. I had to use fan wire from a 3-to-4 pin adaptor and find all sorts of tricky places to route it.
which LED shall i do for the original red LED? Does anyone know some good mods for a logitech optical mini mouse? ( http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=2142,CONTENTID=4996 )
5mm Blauw 8000mcd 5mm blue 8000mcd Kleur: Blauw color: blue Lens kleur: Water Clear Lens color: Water clear Kijkhoek: 30 Graden angle of 30° Sterkte bij 20mA: 8000 mcd Doorlaatspanning: 3.5 - 4.2 Volt Maximum stroom: 20mA Golflengte: 468nm is it good enought for a mouse LED???
It should be fine. It doesn't have to shine very far, so the angle doesn't matter a lot... Most mice have a little lens in front of the LED to focus it anyway
