I recently started using my Maxtor USB HD that I had bought a year or two ago and never put to use. The Model is Maxtor D040H2 80GB USB Harddrive. The problem I'm having is that it only shows up as a 40GB (37.2 to be exact). I'm using FAT32 file system and the partition style is MBR. Can anyone help?

The 40 in the manufacturer/model number suggest that it is, indeed a 40gb drive. i had a little google around and it looks like its 40gb

Yup, what indicates to you that it's an 80gb drive?
