I remember the whole Jedi relegion thing It was on one of the local radio stations (RockFM i think), if over 100,000 put the same thing it would officially become a religion. So if we all put Modding\Modders there will be a new Modders religion . Death
Sorry, Im a JEDI, True to the force 100% I think its cool religion is starting to be taken as a joke - its about time (Not that im saying being a Jedi isnt real! Just some of the others ) (Imho)
Surely it can't be? Maybe not a 'religion' but if enough people but say "Modder" as their subculture or something.. it would have to be created as a new culture?
because its the truth! (though maybe a contradiction saying its a religion "because" its the truth ). But in star wars, the force is a religion! star wars is created by humankind (not to say the force isnt real!), thus we hold it here on earth!

So all the PC ******** that comes from the government about people's right to their own religion. But they won't accept that people have decided Jedi is their religion. Frankly if they will recognise other religion's such as Sikh, Hindu, Chrisitan etc. Why can't they recognise Jedi. IMO all religions are a load of rubbish so you can't say one is less real than another.
If someone wants to be a Jedi then that is all well & good. It can be a religion in their eyes. What penski is pointing out is that just because thousands of people put "Jedi Knight" as their religion on a census form, it does not mean that it has become a recognised religion. All it meant was, a load of people put "Jedi Knight" on their census form... At this office Paganism (along with Wicca, Druid, etc...) isn't recognised. Weirdly Zoroastrianism is I've had many a heated debate with Equal Ops/Diversity about that
