hey hey hey its christmas time and that bein so ive gottin myself a new shinny puter since i dont have ne one other then the girl to buy for this year. left me thinking i need a new computer hehehe here are the new specs amd athlon 64 3000+ 2.01ghz 1gig ddr ram asus k8n AI series mobo NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 128mb 80gig WD hdd so just lookin on a lil feed back about what kinda overclocking i could do with this(new to the OCin' hehe) and if neone could recomend a new video card to go along with everything thnx :S
Not bad, other than that gfx card lol.... Summit like a 6800GT (or 6600 if you're on a budget) would do nice
ya the card was bought to upgrade from a good old ati mache 64 pci card with a blistering 8mb memory wooooo haha so at the time and with the old rig it was r unning grand but now i think i need a lil more gusto
Personally i'd push for an MSI K8N Neo 2 motherboard and go for a 6600 GT. Everything else is fine, if you're overclocking, make sure you get a Winchester core.
yah id really go for a different approach if it was me get a wwhinny 3000+ 939 nf4 pci express mobo pci express 6600GT and some decent ram wont cost alot more but will clock like a bitch and u will be a great games platform the 5200 is a joke avoid it.
yeah a mate had a 5200 and it really is a rotten peice of (well u know) avoid like it is the debt collector
That's what I just ordered. Still waiting but I know it will perform. Although I got an SLI mobo for the future when the hole in my wallet is repaired.
i'd have to say an mx440 is better than the 5200. thn again, the bottleneck could get bigger. How about a riva2 in there? or a geforce 256?
