Modding What's a good first mod

Hey-

For christmas I got a whole bunch of tools that I can use, but don't have a reason to. I was wondering what a good first computer mod would be.

If any of you guys know any easy/good first mods, let me know.

jesus, guys will you lay off. you were all modding noobs once to. get over your selves and quit being pricks. anyway for a first time mod, trying steathing your drives.

I did...the first 4 times..then I got a little angry and referred them to the other threads, then the next time I flamed them to , and here..I go crazy. I'm seriously sick and tired of these...Hell, Google will pull up Bit threads, type "good first mods"...

Why are you all so agressive? There are noobs everywhere. Whats is easier: Telling 100 words about search and so on or 1 word like window?

As for a first mod:

If you want to do it to test out powertools i guess a window or a blowhole should be ok.. Mabye make an etched window if you have a steady hand and some artistic genes

 

It's hard to say what your first mod should be. You should first think of all other modifications you want to make on your case. Find out if they'll fit together. Good luck!

I second or third the motion to help first timers. When they first come here they say wow! the bit-tech forums home of the orac and tons of legends, this site is like THE european site, then you ask a question, any question and BAM! some older member blasts you with SEARCH FIRST &%$*{¤ NOOB!!! frankly, that's not the way to welcome new members,anyway searching would take the whole day, this site is so big, why not just ask.
What would happend if 5 peoples asked you what time it is, the 5th one would get blasted because you told the time to 4 peoples already?? I wish we all think back to when WE came here and breathe.

yer i do agree, that we shouldnt totaly flame the noobs, however i do belive the should be used, just to get them into the habit of using it.

the thing that realy annoyes me more then n00b threads are "what colour should i do this" threads.

anyways i think a sticky thread of stuff for the new guys to try would be a good idea.

 

Ok, I'm sorry, it's just frusterating to see a million of the same thread pop up in one month...(although I've noticed Bit population has increased a ton this month). My apologies...and btw, welcome to Bit

 

i'd say windows... my first mod was a window. there relatively easy (only cutting and sanding)
