So where exactly are the mods? Just looks like a stock Super LanBoy without any fans to me. Oh I see you have a windown is that a pre-mod panel or did you cut it yourself? I've never seen any panels for lanboys.
Ooops my bad. Sorry looked like a super lanboy to me Thanks for pointing out the differences. Ah yes Yo-Duh I see the molexs have been changed.
premodded window but i will add fans dammit, a new CPU fan is coming soon. im planning to cut out the back where the fan sits (a blowhole) and will become a proper fanhole. Any modding ideas? May put a fan hole at the top as an exhaust but i might mod the damm thing. P.S The front needs modding as well but i know it. I was gonna try cable sleeving but its a damm pain.
looking at the sticker on the psu i think the molex connectors (blue) are standard.. this is one uber standard case
Yes its a nice case to have but those Blue Molex's are NOT standard. I got them off a friend who brought those molex plugs to put on his old ANTEC PSU but the his antec is buggered so he got a nice JSP 500 WATT fully modded PSU for $AU 125 from www.pccasegear.com Well Im open for modding tips if anybody has some but i have some in mind.
tips- paint the inside paint those 2 monitors so they match get rid of those case badgese sleeve them wires get some light maybe
-Get a UV cathode(s) to light up the molexes (i have those exact blue molex plugs from pccasegear, they look nice under a uv light ) -Sleeve your powersupply cables, or hide them. (btw if you use expandable sleeving, slightly melt the ends of the pieces, that way they don't fray as easily ) -Take the stickers off the front -Swap out the front panel leds for a different colour, green and orange are boring! -Cut out the fan grills for better airflow and lower noise (once you get some fans) -Stealth/vynal dye your cd/floppy drives -Maybe paint the inside of your case a different colour (i painted mine flat black and it came out great) -change the plastic "rivets" around the case window to a nice screws, maybe hex screws. Theres a few for starters, but the skys the limit for mod ideas . I've done pretty much all of the above, some pics here (link should work, hopefully :S) edit: oh and move your top hdd one spot up. Your bottom one is probably roasting as there is nowhere for air to circulate around it .
oh yesh i almost forgot. if you are going to paint those monitors please take all precautions. discharge your monitor before you attempt to do anything to it. -unplug monitor -pick it up and put it in your car -close the door -drive to your nearest tv repair shop -go in and ask if they will discharge your monitor -if this fails repeat steps at different locations. also if you want to make your case and monitors look sexshi take em to an autobody shop and see if they will paint them for you. they will do an excelent job. i have painted 4 of my cases in my fathers shop and they look great!!
Well, you said you changed out all the molexes...that's pretty much the hardest part of sleeving, taking off the molexes.... Let's play "I Spy the mods!!" Kidding, but you need to at least sleeve, route cables, and get some lights in that thing.
Sleeving... the first mod I ever did, 5 days ago... It was easy, just get a teeny weeny ( ) screwdriver and push the pins in, stick the sleeving and heatshrink on, replace plug, melt heatshrink over ends... easy. I don't see why you can't do this at least.
Thanks for all the replies guys, many of the ideas are helpful and i will take them into consederation. Now The Only problem is I PERSONALLY dont have digital camera but i will have too buy one soon and some 1337 mods to go with it and then i shall post a nice project log for all. Keep them ideas coming!!! Ph33r Viper P.S Must save now for that digi cam now and buy mods from PC Case Gear
Didnt see your post until now. The Diamond View is a 17"inch monitor and the Compaq "Dodgy" is a 15"inch high resolution monitor. Yes the monitor maybe small but the resolution i have is 1280x1024. If i do get this Traineeship at the local city council say goodbye to the CRT's and I'll be upgrading to Dual Samsung 172x LCD's Well i have been thinking about modding more now than before I posted this thread.
