Modding UV light questions

    I have recently, ahem, "aquired" a uv fake-bank-note detector that runs off the mains in the UK, what would it take to mod it to run off the PC's internal power supply?

    Anyway back too your question. Does the detector plug straight into the mains or does it have a seperate power supply?

    you want to check see what voltage it si and if it can run off of 12, 7or 5 volts.

    lol, yeah I am the same actually, I checked and got both the mail from u and the mail about replies to this thread at the same time ;)

    As for the UV light - it was mentioned in another forum I posted in about the temperature of it getting too high and increasing my internal case temp possibly :\ after leaving it on 4 about 5 mins to see if they were right i decided im gonna have to shell out on a UV cathode :( unless i wanna go for serious cooling...
