HoW to Clock AMD Duron 1GHz

    My other CPU which I want to try and overclock is an AMD Duron 1GHz.

    I am new to the overclocking game so i would appreciate a few tips web sites and the truth about OC a 1GHZ CPU.

    what motherboard and wat ram is it going with...also list all other hardware as it helps...

    MB KTX (133) i think
    RAM 512
    Just wanna try and clock the mofo before deciding what Hardware it will go with!

    well, i take it your ram is set at 133 mhz...which should mean you got a multiplier of 7.5...


    easy way is to go up in the fsb to see how high you can get without kiling your system and it overheating...

    other way is to unlock it run it at about multiplier of 9.5 so youll have a duron 1.2ghz roughly...


    really up to you but make sure to do it in small steps, unless you wanna hurt your system, and make sure that cooling is adequate...

    I guess i wiould change the fsb within the Bios is that correct?

    Also how doi unlock it?

    cant help you physically but as its the duron the unlocking of it is easily done...

    get a very very fine pencil, and connect up the L1 bridges and the youll be able to change the multiplier in the bios...and hey presto one unlocked duron....
