Company Ceased Trading??

    i was working for a company that is no longer trading and has gone under. ive been given a poncey letter telling me to go down to the dss office and ask for my outstanding money there.
    surely they arent going to give me the full amount, and i thought id have to get in touch with the recievers etc of this company to sort it out?? not the dss office. it was a 2 bit place anyways, and i was leaving on friday thinking id get all my back pay. but now im skint, so what can i do? any pointers would be great

    U need to goto the DSS, they will register u as unemployed and give u the paper work to fill in to claim redundency and notice pay of the DTI, The DTI will take of this payment anything u entitled to from the DSS so claim it
