How full are your hard drives?

up until monday i had about 35 gigs free across my drives(an 80 and a 120)
but my 80 had a massive heart attack, and now i have 49.1 and 16.6 free on my two remaining partitions. the stuff that was on the partition with 49 free is on my girlfriend's computer right now, need to shuttle that back at some point.

 

Total/Free space on:
C: 9.79/1.27GB
D: 9.79/8.93GB
E: 36.34/5.99GB
F: 47.49/30.68GB
G: 9.77/9.72GB

Just installing windows on the 120, so lots free

 

D:\ 69.2 GB 19.2 GB free
C:\ 69.2 GB 63.2 GB free

 

c: 88.5 of 98 free
d: 17.5 of 51 free
e: 7.5 of 17.1 free

I just did some cleaning and removed about 35gb from the c: drive

 

101GB of 148 free on my SATA 160GB
145GB of 148 free on my PATA 160GB

I need to get ta using that space! I've got hard drives coming out my ears...literally stacks of 80GB drives in a closet

 

c: 5.37gb free out of 14.6gb
d: 8.64gb free out of 22.6gb
z: 106gb free out of 152gb

and then loads of other networked drives other than z that i cba to write out, but im not doing that badly

 

Wow......I'm in shock...

I can't believe that you all seem to get by on relatively small amounts of HDD space. I keep having to juggle things around.
I'm teatering on the edge on nearly all my drives! I'll post a screenshot later, but I think I've got about:

 

using 164 out of 300gb available

thats ona 120gb and 200gb drive.

 

On my laptop
C:\ Total 18.6Gb Free 10.7Gb

 

situation's improving (slowly but surely)



i just need to back up my 'storage' drive now... don't want to lose 160gb of cool stuff now do i!?

 

+ whatever is free on my mum's 120gig and my sisters 120gig

 

C: (2x 36GB Raptors in RAID 0) - 9.4GB of 68GB used.

D: (first partition on a 200GB Seagate S-ATA, of which theres 2 in RAID 1) - 70.5GB of 93GB used.

E: (second partition) - 81.2GB of 93GB used.

This is after a major cleanup though on D: and E:. Hopefully by next week I'll have got myself a job at Halfords and I'll order another 2x 200GB drives and a RAID 5 controller...

only got my laptop here so cant speak for my home machine, this has 17gig free out of a total of 60gig

 

I've got tons of space on my main drive, just formatted. Games drive is lacking a bit as well.
I've also got an 80gig that's not plugged in ATM. Use if for backing up mainly.

c: 55gb windows (everything but swap)

10.2gb quantum (7 years old and still kicking like a mule)
v: 2gb windows page file
linux boot (235 mb)
linux swap (1gb)
linux /home (2gb)
linux / (4gb and change)


I know the winows swap would be better at the end of the drive and all, but i made the partition before i realized it. was just happy to get the pagefile on a seperate drive.

I have to burn a dvd or 2 every couple of weeks. my mp3 collection is getting ponderous again, and dvd temp file space can quickly eat up 20gb if i'm not careful. i also try to image game cd's to my hdd so they load faster, and save wear&tear on my pioneer 106s, now that they are out of production. ( i already had one die in mom's htpc due to overuse)


next pc rebuild is definately going to include a raid5 raptor array - probably 4 disks. i definately want at least a 250gb backups drive also.
