There is a unique business idea which i would like to maybe look into can anyone give advice on getting ideas of the ground?
Contact Small Business Gateway. They issue grants for new business (under terms and conditions of course) and can give you advice on starting a business. If you need funding from a bank you need to draw up a business plan. Your bank should be able to supply you with a pack with all the necessary forms and documentation.
Yeah I would recommend Business Gateway too. Been to them in the past. They really do give out good advice and put you in touch with a financial advisor.

INI replaced LEDU and the IDB, but they are a pile of poo if you want to start up a business. They're more interested in inward investment from foreign companies or from existing companies that want to expand (I used to work for the IDB). You're better off speaking to your local Enterprise Agency, they're used to dealing with people like you (plus they're not Civil Servants so you might actually get some useful advice) Alternatively if you're on the dole, why not try going on New Deal Self Employment option, give yer local Jobcentre / JABO a ring for more info. Hwulex, Natwest is known as the Ulster Bank in NI, though they don't offer a quarter of teh services and have (far) higher charges
