I'm looking to buy a 17" TFT this week. It's gotta be fairly cheap as I'm still saving moolah for holiday.

Been looking at either the Sony SDM-S73H or the LG L1715S.

Both are pretty similarly matched and look pretty good for the price. Anyone either a) got one of these monitors and would recommend it b) knows slightly more than (the sweet fa) i know about TFTs and would recommdend one or c) would suggest a completely different one?

    Cheers

I recently bought an Iiyama ProLite E435S, and can heartily recommend it.
It's a little bit more than the ones you linked, but its 10ms response time is ideal for gaming. :thumb:

LGs and Iiyama both make excellent tfts (I've used both). Couldn't tell you how Sony's perforum. I'd say spend a decent amount and get a good screen so you don't regret it later.

The Iiyama ProLite E435S looks pretty good actually.

Just like to add that I game about once every few months, if that. :)

OK, thinking of getting the E435S (would prefer the B but they're out of stock) so anyone know of any reason why I shouldn't? Seems damn good value for money at £150 for an 8ms TFT.
