Tyan Thunder K8QS PRO

    I finally manage to pay off my debts and now I have some cash letf over I am looking for a new server and was thinking of going fron a Dual mobo to a Quad proc mobo. What do you guys think of this mobo the Thunder K8QS Pro

    thinking of using 4 2.2GHZ AMD Opteron cpus
    and sticking 8GB of DDR RAM

    what do you guys think? do ay of you know where I can get a cheap quad processor board.

    Even Dual Opterons is likely extreme overkill for anything a non-corporate network or extreme data processing system.

    because I coun't find a 8 processord board :D . Seriouly I just build systems and learn how to setup/manage different hardware and software (kind of like when we where small an took apart every electronic thing that we could find, just to see how it worked). Besides my friend says that he wants my server so I need to build me a new one.

    it supports 32GB of DDR333 but that would cost me a million dollards.
