So.. my first worklog here, im gonna make a new waterblock for my CPU, p4c for now. im not gonna write a hole much, my english kinda sucks This is my old water block, made it for alittle under a year ago, it works, never leaked and is still running in my system. This was how it was made (norwegian) On to the new block. The mail goals: Better preformance Better Flow Better looking maybe ? its kinda gonna look like a beefy RBX.. somelike.. Sketchup drawing remember, the block is the DRILL drawing, not the finished block!! i will ONLY be making the p4 top for now, maybe the A64 top if and when i get that system The Block will be about 70x50x10mm markup on my copper plate, 10mm solid. will use tools like the jiggsaw, drillpress and so on.. kinda normal household tools what you people think of my first project here ?
Ha, got a first post finally. Your sketch ups are very cool; please go into detail as you go. This is something that I want to make for myself someday.
booupbuddha: well, im kinda poor at wrting english, so ill be breef with details. just ask if its something you people are wondering about a small update of some things im gonna use: without this, it would have been a 1x in and 2x out block, not 1x in 2x out like the one im making is. sawblades, very good to cut copper. the nippels(?) 12mm / 1/4 inch love this tool, very nice to mark up on copper. thats it for now no spoilers!
some reply would be nice alittle update again took about 15-20min to cut the 70x50mm bit out markup with my beloved tood marked out every drill hole Jet plate, about 70x50mm 8mm thick plexi, makred up to fit on my p4 now its ready to drill up and kut out the plexi. what do y'all think so far ?
dude, love the design of that block, any chance of you making me one joke joke must admit its gonna look schweet!
Update time marked up copper side holes 4mm the jetplate is cut out top-plate cutout i like to show, not tell what do you people think ?
Looking good so far! I'm a big fan of homemade blocks...can't wait to see this in action and see how well it works. Questions: 1) How thick is your copper base? 2) How far down are you drilling into it? 3) I take it you're going to mill channels across all of the little drill holes?
LOL, for future reference they're called barbs not "nippels". I keep forgetting that I have all of the necessary tools to do this... But it will have to wait until I actually have a machine to water-cool. I'll be following this thread whether I use the information or not
hehe, allright, ill try to remember barbs nippels are just so... nice to use or something but really, im sorry, im used to writing "nippels" in other forums in norwegian Da Dego: its 10mm thick, and ill drill about 8-9mm down in it and i will use the dremmel to cut out channels along it
getting alitte done all holes borred og makred out and will be drilled about 8 mm down using a 4mm titan coated "bor?" (what the name ?) what do you think ?
as stated by all above this design looks very interesting, and ive always been a fan myself of home made blocks. more class then a shelf stacked production line block. nice, clean and, well planned which also sets the marks for a great mod, and the clearity of the pictures make it even better. good work diablito. p.s. im english and have trouble speeling and saying so dun worry =D
