haha, good movie. watched it the other day. probably easy: "I'm the enemy because I like to think. I like to read, I'm into freedom of speech and freedom of choice. I'm the kind of guy that could sit in a greasy spoon and wonder gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecue ribs or the side order of gravy fries. I want high cholesterol. I would eat bacon and butter and buckets of cheese. OK. I want to smoke Cuban cigars the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section. I want to run through the streets naked with green Jell-O all over my body reading Playboy magazine. Why, because I might suddenly feel the need to. OK? Pal, I've seen the future. Know what it is? It's a 47-year-old virgin sitting around in his pajamas, sipping a banana-broccoli shake, singing 'I'm the Oscar Meyer wiener'. You live up top, you live how he wants. Your other choice: come down here and maybe starve to death."
Easy one I think. "Cricket!? You have to know what a crumpet is to understand cricket" ....and I made my mum buy me the soundtracks for this and the sequel when I was a kid. Still got them too.
From my favorite movie. -God, I'm bored! -You look bored. -I am bored. P.S. I can probably get any quote from this movie within 5 sec.
Just biding my time for confirmation. I'll have one coming in about 6-7 hours from now, provided Constructacon posts before then. Ryan B.
Alright, this one isn't going to be easy. I'll give a few hints if you ask nicely. "Wait a second Bob, is this like when you told us we could smoke banana peels?" I'll give you all a bonus quote to go along with that one: "Monsters, flyin' lawnmowers, and wierd kinda sh*t." Have fun! Ryan B.
Sorry Chairboy, not quite that new. Constructacon: It's not that it's obscure, just 20 years old. (Was that a hint?!) Ryan B.
I could find the quote in about 2 seconds (and I did) but where's the fun in cheating. And yes it was from a 20 year old film - a less popular one according to site.
Not a terribly hard quote to find on Google. It wasn't highly popular because of the lack of script work, but it was good enough to get on TBS here in the states a few times. It was kinda typical of a 'watchable' 80's movie. I love it almost as much as I do Goonies and The Explorers. Ryan B.
Both classics IMO. Goonies still gets repeat playing normally in "no ratings" summer viewing around Christmas every year. I haven't seen Explorers since it first came out. A shame really. But I digress.
Sorry for the double post but it seems this has stalled the thread. PHxs - do you want to submit another quote? If no answer I'll put in what I found this afternoon to keep this thing moving.
