    hello people

I have a fractal arc mini case and will be fitting it with some new fans. Just brought a Corsair H80 and will be getting a msi r9 290 at the end of April.

Im looking for some powerful but quiet fans. the PC is in my bedroom and the quieter the better but I'm a student so cheaper the better also.

I was thinking about going for the corsair AF120 quiet edition. you can get a dual pack for £20 on Amazon

I then stumbled upon the Bitfenix spectre pro fans which are £9.80 each on Amazon.

I was thinking about a total of 4 fans. 2 in the front and 1 on the H80 in rear and 1 in the roof.

    Any ideas would be great

    thanks

I've not used either fan but looking at the specifications the bitfenix looks best.

Agree with AlphaAngel, I've got 3 bequiet PWM 120's in my rig and they're great, the mobo looks after controlling them, so no need for a fan controller, and they're whisper quiet even when working hard. I haven't tried them on an AIO cooler though.

edit : I'm sure I saw a thread the other day saying that they were tricky to mount in rads due to the rubber mounting system they use instead of ordinary screws.

Personally I'm taken with Phanteks fans, but they are a bit pricey. The Akasa Apache and Viper series are also reported to be quiet and powerful, and would have been my second choice. In reviews both come out consistently well.

The BeQuiet series are certainly good, but like the NoiseBlocker series, in reviews they are rated slightly more variable. The Corsair series seems expensive for what they are, and you might as well pay out for Phanteks or Noctua fans. However at this level, differences are likely to be small.

wow the price difference from pure wings 2 at £6 and silent wings at £16 is huge.

The Enermax fans are ok as case fans they are very quiet I have 5 in my case. But to use on the back of a rad they are no good they have no static pressure
