    abit Announced the IP35P Motherboard

    “Extremely overspeed”

February 19, 2008 – abit launched the IP35P, their latest motherboard with great overclockability. Based on the Intel® P35 chipset, the abit IP35P motherboard supports Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme/Quad/Duo & Pentium® Dual-Core & Celeron® Dual Core processors. Besides the current 65nm processors, you are ready for the next generation 45nm processors with up to 1333 FSB. The IP35P supports a maximum memory capacity of up to 8GB; most important of all, in OC mode it supports DDR2 even up to 1066 MHz, allowing you for overclocking to the extreme. Additionally, the high definition on-board audio offers the flexibility to use regular stereo PC speakers or any modern surround sound system up to 7.1 channels. The PCI-EX16, PCI-EX1, and 3 PCI-E offer all essential expansion capability.

    abit SoftMenu™ Technology
This easy-to-use and powerful BIOS-based interface will help you to directly access all major system parameters. abit’s unique technology makes system setup quick and easy.

    EZ CCMOS Switch
abit’s innovative EZ switch allows you to clear the CMOS memory directly from the back panel. With the switch, if you are pushing your hardware over the limits and experiment with risky settings, it is easy and convenient to go back to safe ground.

If you are impressed with abit’s IP35 Series, you can’t miss out on the IP35P with overspeed DDR2 1066 overclockability.

    lol at the quoted part..

marketing gone nuts, seriously, every budget board does ddr2 1066 with oc'ing.

will abit actually speed bin their p35 boards to find the best oc'ing ones to sell as ip35p or will it still be luck of the draw? because if the second is true then there is no point to a new product and the regular p35 boards will be the same.

looks a bit like an IP35V (there are differences though) but replacing the ICH7 with ICH9, as such I guess that it's designed to drive down the pricepoint from the IP35-E.
Given that you could buy an IP35-E for £50 last week from Scan with free delivery I wonder if there is really a place for it though?
